Knowledge base and guide for using the usermode script

1. Getting Started

Before you begin, ensure you have an active license. You can purchase one from your Dashboard. Once you have a license, head over to the Download page to get the latest version of the usermode script. You only need to download it once. After that, CS Radar offers each new version to you when it starts.

Note: Windows Defender or other antivirus software might flag the script as a false positive. We recommend creating an exclusion folder before downloading.

2. Setup & Execution

Start Counter-Strike 2 First

CS Radar reads data from the running game, so Counter-Strike 2 must already be open. Launch the game, wait until it is fully loaded, and only then start the script.

Always Run as Administrator

This is the one step that matters. Right-click the executable and choose Run as Administrator every time you launch CS Radar. Running as admin is what lets it start its local web server and serve the radar across your network automatically, with no extra setup.

  • Create a new folder on your Desktop or Drive (e.g., C:\CSRadar).
  • Add this folder to your antivirus exclusions.
  • Extract the downloaded .zip file into this folder.
  • Start Counter-Strike 2 and wait until it is fully loaded (the main menu is enough).
  • Right-click on the executable file (e.g., usermode.exe) and select "Run as Administrator".

Viewing the Radar on Other Devices

When you start CS Radar, the radar opens in your browser and shows a network address just below the map. To watch the radar on another device, open that address in any web browser on your phone, tablet, or a second PC. Every connected device sees the same live radar at once.

Same network required

The other device must be on the same Wi-Fi or network as the PC running CS Radar. Use the exact address shown beneath the radar map; it already contains your PC's local IP.

Safely Closing the Script

To safely close the usermode script at any time, press CTRL + DEL on your keyboard.

3. Activating Your License

Upon first launch, the loader will prompt you for a license key. You can find your active license keys on the Dashboard.

Hardware ID (HWID) Locking

When you enter your license key for the first time, it will automatically bind to your computer's Hardware ID (HWID). This means the license can only be used on this specific PC. If you change your hardware or reinstall Windows, you may need an HWID reset.

4. Automatic Updates

Every time you start CS Radar, it checks your license and then looks for a newer version. When one is available, a window shows the new version and its release notes and asks whether to update now.

  • Choose "Yes" to update right away. A console window shows the download progress, then CS Radar verifies the new version, replaces the executable in the same folder and restarts itself. It keeps its administrator rights, so there is nothing else to do.
  • Choose "No" to keep using your current version. CS Radar asks again the next time you start it.

Keep the Folder Excluded

Updates are downloaded into the CS Radar folder, so it must stay in your antivirus exclusions. Otherwise your antivirus can block the new version and the update will fail.

5. License Expiration

When your license expires, the usermode script will no longer authenticate successfully. You will need to purchase a new license from the Dashboard. Once you have a new license key, simply enter it the next time you launch the script. The new key will automatically bind to your existing HWID.

6. Troubleshooting

"Invalid License Key" Error

Ensure you copied the key exactly as it appears in your dashboard without any extra spaces. Check that the license has not expired or been revoked.

"HWID Mismatch" Error

This occurs if you try to use the loader on a different PC than the one it was originally activated on. Please contact support for an HWID reset.

Loader Closes Immediately

This is typically caused by Windows Defender or another anti-virus blocking the execution. Ensure the folder is excluded and real-time protection is temporarily disabled during setup.

"The update could not be installed" Error

CS Radar keeps your current version and starts it as usual. Most often your antivirus blocked the new file or the download was interrupted. Check that the folder is still excluded and accept the update on the next start, or get the latest version from the Download page and extract it into the same folder, replacing the old files.
